One of the most suitable methods for training people with operational intelligence level is psychodrama training. Therefore, the aim of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of psychodrama training on adjustment in children with mild ID. Method: The present study is a quasi-experimental study with a pretest-posttest and a control group design. The statistical population included male students with mild ID in Damghan city in the academic year of 2019-2020, from which 30 people were selected by purposive sampling method and were randomly assigned to the experimental and control groups. First, both groups completed the pretest Adjustment Questionnaire (Sinha & Singh, 1993). After ten sessions of 90-minute psychodrama training for the experimental group, both groups were re-evaluated (post-test). Data were analyzed by analysis of covariance using SPSS-26 software. Results: The results of this study showed that psychodrama training improves the emotional, educational, and social adjustment of children with mild ID (p <0.05). Conclusion: Psychodrama training through role-playing for the children in the experimental group provided a more accurate understanding of feelings and emotions, thereby increasing the emotional, academic, and social adjustment of children with mild ID.
